Description
Arthropodium cirratum, commonly known as renga renga lily, is a perennial herb native to New Zealand. It grows in coastal, forest margins, and alpine habitats, reaching up to 1 meter in height. The plant features long, lance-shaped leaves that form a rosette at the base. In late spring and summer, it produces tall, arching stems with clusters of fragrant, white to pale pink flowers, resembling lilies. Arthropodium cirratum is valued for its ornamental appeal, adding texture and beauty to native gardens and landscapes. It is also used in traditional Māori medicine and is known for its ability to tolerate a variety of growing conditions.
